Leafs me happy Day Four

It's day four of the leafs me happy...my day. My block is called Autumn Breezes. It is 12 1/2 inches square and is foundation pieced.
While I was designing this block I decided to design and make a wall quilt as well. Things were going really well. I was able to make all the foundations small enough to fit on an 8 1/2" x 11" page so it worked with my printer. I cut out the needed pieces easily. The foundations were easy to sew and fit together well. Then it came time to add the borders and I was missing the cornerstones and one of the narrow green borders. Now I'll show you a picture of someone who surely could not be involved in this mystery. Not this innocent little guy!
However the evidence seems to indicate that he may be implicated. I found a mangled, chewed border strip. The cornerstones have not been found and it must be assumed he ate then. This is not the first time and luckily they are small enough to travel though his digestive system. I cut a new border and cornerstones and was able to finish the top.
This wall quilt is 27 1/2" square. I plan on binding it with the rust fabric. If you would like to make your own Autumn Breezes block or wall quilt, you can download the instructions here. Be sure to check out the other blocks!

What a beautiful wall hanging! I love the bright colors! I cannot believe that that sweet adorable little guy had anything to do with missing quilt pieces....you must have Poltergeist!

Love the wall hanging, and the breezy block too! I have a lot of innocence here too. Fabric that needs to be sat on (cat and dogs), pawed (cat too) and inspected (especially during sandwiching). Playing with safety pins and fabric spools is also fun...Luckily, they don't eat anything here and I shudder to think they would eat the needles or (safety)pins. Good thing it travels well in your lovely guy!

LOL! One of our dogs is a fabric muncher, too! He's not allowed in my craft room at all, not after he ate several pieces of a mystery quilt two years ago (which made it a mystery where the went, which was only solved by finding what my husband calls Yard Confetti).
Your block is very pretty!

Your designs/work are fantastic. I sympathize with you and your situation with Oliver. He looks sweet and innocent as do my three felines, but our large gray tabby with the white tuxedo has pulled out the hem to my drapes in my front window-I think he's trying to tell me not to put drapes in his windows. My little black female Bombay 'helps' by pulling pins out of my quilts with her teeth and yesterday I caught her eating thread from the top of my sewing machine. Our orange tabby hasn't yet been mischievous, so far he's too timid. But you can't help but love them-it could be worse as they are all sweet and for the most part get along. From Northern California, thanks for sharing your beautiful block/quilt.

Beautiful wall hanging. I got the pattern, but I'm not very good at paper piecing but this makes me want to try. We also have a Cavalier King Charles the same color only ours has more brown and less white, his name is Preston. We also have a tri-colored one named Hunter. They are the sweetest dogs. Our Preston has diabetes as well as being blind and lost his hearing. He is only 11 years old. Bless his little heart. Thanks for sharing.

That is absolutely beautiful. Love the colors of course. So your sweet little innocent doggie has a problem with kleptomania like my sweet little innocent doggie has. The first incident was when he was just barely a year old, I spent days searching for my car keys and had been reduced to tears numerous times as I had place to go. I found my keys four days later when I decided to launder his bed and they were buried under his mattress. And he thought he had done something so special. Just had to share that with you, and yes he continues to grab things and run. I cannot put my purse on the floor as he will find something to grab. LOL Thanks for the pattern. Hop over and enter my giveaway! http://jeannegwin.blogspot.com/2012/10/leafs-me-happy-day-3.html

I am pretty sure your sweet pup hid those pieces very well. I have two cornish rex kitties and they also engage in thievery of sewing supplies, bits, caps, and such. Sometimes they catch us off guard.

Oliver can't be to blame, can he? A friend and I were sewing at her house on a BOM. I couldn't find my fabric for one of the blocks in the block. I knew that I had cut everything out when we started. We searched and searched. We made sure that we had not mixed up our piles of fabric. While I was still sewing, she went over to one of the dogs and found a strip of the fabric. That dog will eat anything. I mean anything. She is not a puppy. I don't remember what we did, but we did something and finished both blocks.

I like your block. You are very creative and have a great eye for color. Thank you for taking time to participate and share with us.
