It's Christmas in June at Apple Avenue!

These are a couple of projects that I have been working on. I decided that rather than leave all my Christmas projects until nearer to December (at which time they usually get shelved), I would finish them now and actually be able to enjoy them for the entire season. The tree skirt top is ready to be quilted. I'm just trying to figure out the best way to do it. When that happens I will quilt it, then cut a slit to the middle and a hole to accomdate the tree, and then bind it. The wall hanging needs another border. Then quilting and binding. These are both my original designs and so far I'm really happy with them. There is a debate among those who have seen them, if the Santa or the snowman is cuter. I like both. These projects are for my husband's TV watching room. The tree there is very traditional and includes ornaments from the entire time we have been married and quite a few handmade ones from my children. I plan to also make a coordinating table runner and mantle scarf.

OK, Santa or Snowman, my first thought was I alawys go for snowmen, that was until I noticed Santas paisley suit. Really cute!

Smart girl, getting some of your Christmas quilting done now. I like to wait until the last minute myself! Very cute, but I just LOVE your two little miniature quilts! I hope we will see more minis. Welcome to blogging!
